Standard Series Self-Solder
Endpin Jack Upgrade Kit
Only $7.99
We are often asked about End-Pin jack upgrade
options for our Standard Series Pickups. We are
now pleased to be able to offer an affordable
end-pin jack upgrade. These are quality, nickel
plated jacks. These must be installed from
outside the guitar since the strap button is fixed
and cannot be removed. For that reason, the final
connections must be soldered by the consumer.
Included with this kit is everything that you will
need to upgrade your Standard Series internal
pickup system. Kit includes jack, enough solder
to make the necessary connections and a piece
of shrink tube to insulate connections.

This is intended to be ordered in conjunction
with one of our Standard Series internal pickups.
Purchase this upgrade by simply selecting it from
the drop-down box while adding any Standard
Series pickup to your shopping cart.
Installation instructions;

Tools you will need;
A drill
A 1/2 drill bit
Soldering iron
Needle-Nose pliers
Heat gun (or cigarette lighter)

Installation of the endpin jack:
1.Drill or widen the endpin hole to 1/2" using protective tape to cover the area around the hole.
This helps to prevent chips and
scratches.
2. Slide the jack nut and washer over the pickup cable (in that order).
2. Feed the pickup cable out through the jack hole from inside the guitar.
3. Slide the heat shrink tube over the cable on the outside of the guitar.
4. Solder the signal wire to the shorter solder lug on the jack.
5. Place ground cable inside the crimp-connector, crimp together using a pair of needle-nosed
pliers, then solder the ground connection.
6. Trim away any excess cable that protrudes from each connection.
7. Crimp (or bend) two metal tabs over pickup cable to secure.
8. Slide the heat shrink tube over the connections  and shrink it by carefully applying heat. You
can use a heat gun or a cigarette lighter for this step. If you choose to use a lighter, do not place
the flame directly on the tubing. Hold the lighter  approximately 2-3" below the tubing.
9. Insert the jack into the endpin hole.
10. Replace the jack washer and nut on the inside of the guitar. Tighten with pliers.
11. Continue with installation instructions for your pickup system, disregarding any steps relating
to installation of the standard 1/4 jack.

We cannot be responsible for guitar damage caused by installation.
